The first anniversary of the local Congregational Church will be held to-morrow. The Rev. A. Hodge will conduct the services, preaching in the morning from the subject "A Temple Exceeding Manifical,'' and in the evening "The Battle of the Religious." The choir has been augmented by friends, and a special hymn for the occasion has been composed by one of the members, and will be sung at the morning service. On Tuesday a good old-fashioned tea meeting will be held in the Church, followed by a public meeting, at which the annual reports ! will be presented and addresses given i by visiting ministers and friends I from Wellington.
