WAIRARAPA LADIES' ASSOCIATION.
SEVEN-ASIDE TOURNAMENT.
The annual seven-aside tournament of the Wairarapa Ladies' Associaton was held at Greytown yesterday afternoon. Only four teams entered, the Ramblers and Masterton High School not being represented. The tournament was a one-sided affair, the Kia Toa (Greytown) team securing first place. results were as follow: —Kia Toa beat Kiwi; Greytown High School beat Huia; Greytown School peat Kiwi; Kiwi beat Huia; Kia Toa bwat Huia; Kia Toa beat Greytown School. Tournament points.— Kia Toa 3 points; Greytown High School 2 points; Kiwi 1 point; Huia nil. I Messrs H. W. King and J. O'Meara were referees.
a maicb was played on the Showgrounds yesterday afternoon, between the Sc Matthews' Club of Masterton, and St. Matthew's Club, of Hastings. The game, which ended in a draw—each side scoring two goals—was not of a very brilliant nature—in fact play at times was very dull and breaches of th 3 rules were first spell Berry scored a goal for the local team. In the second half Hatch scored for the home team, and 0. Tong and Roach scored goals for the visitors. A feature of the gamewas tha fine exhibition of goalkeep' ing given bv Blair, the* visitors diminutive goal keeper. Mr A. Pragnell was referee. The teams were as follow: —Hastings: Goal, A. Blair; full-backs, P. Price, R. Davis; halves, I. Davis, Heslop, W. Burrie; forwards, McNeale, iVlussen, Tong, Roach, Heale. Masterton: Full-backs, W. Williams, W. Hornblow; live-eighth, N. Boyd; halves, W. Flaw, C. Cole, C. Voyce; forwards, V. Sutton, J. Berry, L. Boyd, A. Iggulden, R. Hatch.
