In connection with the massacres at Adana, in Asia Minor, Ajevad Bey, the ex-Vali, has been sentenced to six years* exclusion from the, public service, and Remzi Pacha, military commandant, to three years' imprisonment. The Armenian Patriarch has resigned, as a protest against the inadequacy of the sentences and the passing of sentence of death on innocent Armenians.
