MANAWATU TOURNEY.

The Manawatu Clubs annual Golf Tournament was continued to-day in fine weather. Sixteen who qualified yesterday for the championship began play to-day. In the first round Kurupo Tareha (Napier) beat W. Hannan (Christchurch); K. Duncan (Wellington) beat H. Gillies (Hawera); Burns (Auckland) beal Stedman (Manawatu); ®Barraud (Manawatu) beat V. Harman (Manawatu), Dnill (Manawatu) beat Colonel Tuson (Wellington); Pryde (Manawatu) beat Treweek; Colbeck (Auckland) beat L. Seifert (Manawatu); Cox (Masterton) beat J. C. Bidwill (Wairarapa) Second round: Kurupo beat Duncan; Burns beat Barraud; Dnill beat Pryde; Cox beat Colbcck. E. S. Pearce (Wellington), handicap 4, 3 up win the Bogey Handicap. Cox, Hudson and P. Moore tied for the Stroke Handicap.
