CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.
Quite unusual interest is being taken by the local Congregationalists in the first anniversary art-vices and meetings which are to be held during the coming Sunday and on the following Tuesday. The Services will be conducted on Sunday by the Rev. A. Hodge. A special consecration hymn has been composed by one of the members for the occasion, and will be sung at the morning service. The congregation will be supplied with printed copies at the doors. On Tuesday a real old fashioned sitdown tea meeting will be held in the church, followed by a public meeting, at which all the reports for the year will be presented and addiesses given by visiting ministers and friends from Wellington, representing the Congregational Union uf New Zealand. The choir will be augmented by friends and the church decorated by I the standing floor committee under the direction of Mrs Hugh Welch.
