MISSING WARATAH.
SPECIAL STEAMER TO SEARCH.
Received September 8, 9 a.m. LONDON, September 7.
In connection with the arrangements for a joint search for the missing liner Waratah, the underwriters have subscribed £2,000, the owners £I,OOO and the Protection and Indemnity Club £3OO Arrangements are almost com • pleted to send the Uniun-Castle Company's Sabine in Quest of the missing steamer. She will search first the current from Cape Agulhas towards Kerguelen Island. The Sabine will probably sail on Thursday.
NO TRACE.
Received September 8, 10.20 a m. PEKTH. September 8. The steamer Karola has arrived here i'rom Durban. On the voyage across she kept as far south as latitude 42deg., but aw no trace of the Waratah.
