FIVE PEttSONS ARRESTED.

Received September 7, 8.15 a.m. PARIS, September 6. In consequence of the theft of a machne 'guii from the Frerch military headquarters at Chalons, General Brun circularised the commanders of army corps, with a view to the stricter guarding of material of war. The public are convinced that the gun is now in Germany's hands. The newspapers state that the corporal who stole the gun has reached Metz. Five persons, suspected of com - plicity in the theft, have been arrested at Chalons.
