HORSE MARKET.

A keen demand is at present existing or good young active draught horses in Sydney and Melbourne. Several shipments have already been made from both the South and North Islands, and satisfactory prices obtained. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have, handled a number of consignments, and yesterday a further shipment was made from .the Wairarapa through them on account of Mr Stephen Harding, who took over fourteen good young mares and geldings (draughts). The consignment was shipped by the Ulimaroa, from Wellington. We hear there is a likelihood of further shipments being made and if prices continue firm in Australia it will do much to harden the price of horses in New Zealand. Lately the demand for draughts has been very slack, and sales have heen difficult to effect.
