FROM BAD TO WORSE!
We never have any desire to pay attention to the "opinions" of our evening contemporary, but when that journal publishes (as it did on Wednesday last) a statement liable to injure a movement that may result in incalculable benefit to Masterton, we were simply compelled to point out the incorrectness of the statement. Instead of acknowledging its error, as in common honesty of purpose it should have done, our contemporary replies in its issue of ye -
terday by accusing us of attempting to impart a personal element into the proposal in connection with the probable establishment of meat freezing works at the Waingawa. This is certainly going from bad to worse! We would urge the keen, broad-minded, dashing editor of our local contemporary to throw personal feeling to the winds, and to combine with the public-spirited citizens of Masterton, who are endeavouring to promote the progress of the town.
