STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Ahraham and Williams, Limited, report on their Masterton stock sale held yesterday as follows: —Owing to the rough weather sheep did not come forward up to advertised numbers. A representative yarding of cattle was, however, submitted. Bidding at auction for sheep dragged somewhat and not much business was done. Cattle met with a more animated sale, and prices realised were on a par with those ruling of late. We quote - - Fat ewes and wethers 14s 3d; good hoagets, 10s 3d; 2 tooth wether 3 13s 9d; fat heifers, £5 to £5 2a 6d, fat cows, £4 10s to £5; bullocks, £5 9s 6d to £6 ss; 2h to 3yr steers, £4 7s to £4 15s; 2yr old steers, £3 12s6dto£4 2n Gd; 18 month steers, £3 8s 6d; yearling steers, £2 to £2 7s 6d. Pigs: Slips, 17s Gd.
