GAMBLING ON A FINANCIERS' HEALTH
Received September 1, 9 a.m. NEW YORK, August 31. There has been much gambling in New Xork or several days because ot rumours concerning the illness of Mr E H. Harriman, the railway magnate. Railway stocks are now buoyant, on Mr Harriman issuing a statement that the surgeon's examination has disclosed nothing serious wrong with him, and that he only requires a rest.
