PROCEEDS OF HIS LECTURES. Received September 1, 11.50 a.m. SYDNEY, The directors of the Hospital Saturday Fund have received a letter from Lieutenant Shackleton mentioning that the monetary result of his lectures in Australia "and New Zealand was about £2,2oo,Jwhich he has handed to! various charitable institutions there. He said he had decided to devote the whole of the proceeds of'his lectures there to charities as a token of his gratitude for the substantial aid afforded hia 'expedition by the Commonwealth and New Zealand Governments.
