FOOTBALL.

The football match between the Metropolitan team and Sydney University was played to-day, and resultedin a win for the former by 22 points (six tries, two of which were converted) to threfc points (a try). With respect to the serious trouble that has arisen between the Football Association and players, many of whom, contrary to the Assocition's urders, refused to resign from the Players' Union, which is backed by the General Federation of Trades Unions, Mr A. Henderson, M.P., Chairman of the Labour party, has proposed arbitration. The Players' Union welcomes the suggestion, but the Association declines. considering it too late. IF YOU HAVE A.
