UPPER PLAIN RAINFALL. Mr J. C. Boddington reports as follows:—Rain fell on 21 days on the Upper Plain during August. The I maximum fall during 24 hours was i 1.71 inches, registered on the 2nd. r The minimum fall was 1 point on t 31st. The total for the month was .' 4.44 inches as against 4.61 inches, ; 2.05 inches, 1.74 inches, 2.73 inches > and 2,(>7 inches in August 1904, - IUOS, 190G, 1907, and 1908, rcspecs tively. The f otal for eight months > was 25.99 inches, as against 27.99 i inches, 28.73 inches, 31.13 inchsa, ! 41.10 inches and 23.84 inches lor the corresponding period in 1904, r 1905, 1900, 1907, and 1908. % I !-„_.--
