MISSING WARATAH.

With reference to the case of the overdue liner Waratah, and the possibility of her being still afloat, a correspondent recalls the rescue of the Dutch barque Dordrecht, which was missing for several weeks off the coast of South Africa in 1884. The position of the .Dordrecht, the correspondent says, was just as hard to locate as in the Waratah's. REPORT OF THE AYRSHIRE. Received Augusc 30, 10.20 a.m. ADELAIDE, August 30. The steamer Ayrshire, which arrived here from Capetown, reports that she kept a look out for the missing steamer Waratah, but saw no trace of her. ; STRONG SOUTHERLY SgTf"", Received August 30, 10.20 a.m* PERTH, Ai£i»t 30. 3 An officer of the steamer Madura, which has arrived here trom Delagoa Bay, states that the east-north-east current had taken an exraordinary southerly set. With the strong northerly winds prevailing at times, he believes that the Waratah if disabled, was drifting southwards, and would now be making towards Australia in a very southerly latiude.
