INDIA'S ARMY.
IMPROVEMENT IN HEALTH. Received August 30, 8.40 a.m. CALCUTTA, August 29. Lord Kitchener, in a circular issued on resigning the command of the Indian Army, emphasises the great improvement in the health of the Indian Army during the past few years. He mentions that the death-rate of the British troops since 1894 has fallen from 17.3 to 9.0 per thousand.
