Walter Long, exConservative Minister and organiser of the Budget Protest League, addressed a meeting of tan thousand Conservatives and Liberal Unionists at Mountain Ash, i" Glamorganshire. A resolution condemning the Liberal Government's budget and favouring tariff reform was carried by an overwhelming majority. "A GOOD BUDGET." Received August 30, 8.55 a.m. LONDON, August 29. The Right Hon. W. Runciman, Minister for Education, in a speech at Rhyl, in Flintshire, said the Budget was a. good one, and the Grvernment would introduce one equally as good in 1910.
