A SUGGESTION.
(To the Editor). Sir,—The annual teams' road race (run conjointly by the Wellington Centre of N.Z.A.A.A.. and the Wellington Harriers) will take place this year on October 9th. Mi~ht 1 suggest to the athletes of Masterton to be represented in this event by a team or teams. It should be quite possible to select one team of four from the many hockey and football players and ather athletes, who would worthily represent the district. There is still six weeks to go before the race eventuates, and in this time the men could get into decent "form," provided they got into work at once. The St. Matthew's Club made a praiseworthy effort to introduce ha-rrier running here during the winter, and some pleasant "runs" took place. I would suggest that they take the initiative in this matter as I feel sure it only needs this to bring t the matter to a successful issue. Thanking you for giving this subject publicity.---I am. etc., MASTERTON SPOKT. Maaterton, August 30th.
