JACK AND JILL.
Pantomime seems naturally to suggest the "Yule log," snow covered landscapes and Christmas cheer, for such are the surroundings in the Old Land, where they are first launched upon their merry career?. "Jack and Jill" is said to completely eclipse all former achievements of Mr J. C. Williamson's management. The cast includes Mr J. M. Campbell, the famous character comedian, and Mr Fred Leslie, the popoular comedian and eccentric dancer. The •principal "boy" Miss Stella Gastelle, ;has been a reigning favourite from the moment of her first appearance in •Australia last Christmas as ".Jack." iMiss Betty Ohls needs no introduction; her dainty and polished work when through New Zealand with the Merrymakers will not soon bo, forgotten. But the cast throughout is remarkably strong. Among the .most conspicuous names are:—Miss Stella Selbourne, Mr Victor Loydell, Miss Ulga Grey, Mr Clyde Cook, Mr Geo. Young, Mr Rupert Darrell, Miss Nance Maher, Miss Lena Er;c- ! son, Baby Sekaton, and a host of others. The production is full of novel specialties. Foremost is Mr Walter Stanton, the unique bird im- | personator, Messrs Morris and Wilson, the famous animal impersonators, the Butterfly ballet, The Palace of Precious Stones, Grand March of the Jewels, the famous Pony, Ballet, ' and endless other noveltie ( B. The Masterton season is limited to one night only, the performance commencing to-morrow evening, at 7.45 o'clock sharp.
