STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Eketahunia sale held yesterday:—Only a small yarding of sheep came forward but we submitted about 100 head of cattle, principally dairy cows and heifers. We quote: —Cows in calf best £5 to £5 15s;'[others £2 2s 6d to £2 ss; heifers m calf £4 15s and £5 to £5 lbs; cows in milk £5 15s; yearling heifers 335; mixed weaners 24s 6d. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly sale at Eketahuna yesterday as follows:—Entries exceeded advertised numbers both in sheep and cattle. Bidding at auction was very slack; we, however, sold the biggest portion of our entry before the day closed. We quote:—F.m. ewes in lamb. 12s; two-tooth wethers, 13s to 13s 3d to 18s 6d; ewe lambs, 9s to 12s; mixed hoggets, 7s yd to 9s lid. Cattle: Eighteen-month empty heifers £2 ss; 2£-yejir heifers in calf. £3; springing heifers, £4 2s to £4 17s; cows in milk, £4 2s 6d to £4 12s 6d.
