BEAUTIFYING RAILWAY STATIONS.

Any available space in the station yards might be planted wif.h various specimens of the flora indigenous to tlv-< district, and if this plan was carried out systematically travellers from north to south would be able to glean a knowledge 1 of the flora of the country. He ] moved that the suggestion shall' lv; i brought under the notice of the Minister for Railways. Mr A. Kaye said that a similar plan had been attended with satisfactory results'in Victoria and New South Wales. The motion was carried.
