Mr Lloyd-Georere, Chancellor of the Exchequer, interviewed, expresed admiration for the Rheims tourney which was organised by the French Aero Club without Government help. The progress of the association in so short a time was marvellous. He only wished such a meeting was possible early in Eng-land-say, on Salisbury Plain.
RECORD BREAKING,
OARING EVOLUTIONS. Received August 25, 9.55 p.m. PARIS, August 25. M. Bleriot, at Rheims, beat Curtiss' record for ten kilometres (8 minutes 35 seconds) by 31 seconds. Other French aeroplanists made many daring evolutions. Received August 25, 10.35 p.m. PARIS, August 25. A gathering of 100,000 persons at the Rheims Aviation ground accorded an ovation to President Fallieres, who received General French and other British representatives, and affably conversed with them, amid cheers for the Anglo-French entente.
