Louis Strang, driving a Buick car, won the 100 mile race at Indianopolis in one hour 32 minutes 40 seconds. The "world's previous record was one hour 44 minutes. A car in another race on Friday dashed irto a fence, killing Bourge, the driver, ar.d also a mechanician. Anothei car on Saturday dashed into a fence and killed three spectators. On the same day a chauffeur and three Canadian ladies were killed through a motor car being precipitated over a trestle bridge at Seattle.

Thirty-eight fatal motor-car accidents have occurred in America during the last twenty-four hours.

AMSTERDAM, August 22. Three motorists were killed in a collision at Nijmegen, in Ho land.
