AMATEUR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
REbOLUTIONS ADOPTED.
Received August 19, 10.45 a.m. BRISBANE August 19. The Board of Control of the Amateur Athletic Association of Australasia has adopted the following resolutions: — That lists of reinstatements of amateurs be furnished to the board by the various assocaitions. That the rule prohibiting the bartering or realisation of trophies to be supplemented by prohibiting the pawning of them. That no amateur be permitced to issue, or allow tc be issued on his behalf, a challenge for money, or against a professional. That the all-round individual championship event in connection with the amateur Australasian Championships meeting be allowed to lapse. ' It was decided to hold an Australasian crosscountry championship every two years, the distance being fixed at five milas. with the understanding . that the distance should be open to reconsideration after the first two races. The race was allotted to Tasmania for next year, New Zealand's turn coming in 191*. Provision was made for holding javelin-throwing events. The question of allowing pole-vaultera to make a hole for insertion of the pole was referred to the State associations.
