Miss Violet t M. Greig, M.S.. at present first assistant in the Waitaki Girls' High School, has been apponted head mistress of the Naper Girls' High School, in succession to Miss Spencer, resigned. A, quiet wedding was solemnised at Otaki on Wednesday, when Miss Pearson, late of Masterton, was married to Mr Frederick Barclay, of Dunedin. Mr S. Pearson, brother of the bride, gave his sister away* whlie Miss Bannister was bridesmaid. ' News has been received of the death at Pretoria of Mr £. A. Kees, youngest son )f Mr W. L. Reea, of Gisborne. The deceased was legal partner, of Joubert, grand nephew of General Joubertt.
