At Grevtown, the representative team from the Wairarapa Primary Schools met and defeated a team from the Wellington Primary Schools the scores being 3 to nil. NORTHERN UNION KULES. The game was a fine one to watch. The first halt ended—Australia 11 i points, Maor's 10. For the vistors Wharepapa and Rukutai secured tries, the former converting both. In the second spell the Maoris were the principal attackers, the Australians showing stubborn defence. The home team were the first to score Woodhead getting a try. which Brackenridge converted. The Maoris made the pace terrific, and their tackling was strenuous. Eventually Tuki got over, but the shot at goal failed. The enthusiasm was intense, and a fierce struggle continued to the call of time, but without either side increasing its ' score, the Australians thus winning by 16 points to 13.
