(From Our Resident Reporter). Thursday. The new pedal pipe organ for St. Mark's Church is expected to arrive here next week. Mr C. J. Smith is at present making the necessary alterations to' the church fox the accommodation of the instrument. Mr W. J. Hill has sold his jobprinting and stationery business in Carterton to Mr A C. Rovvse, a former resident of Greytown, and late of Eketahuna. Mr Hill intends removing to a seaside town for the , benefit of Mrs; Hill's health. Messrs T. S. Arcus and Sons have commenced the work of repairing ] Camethar'on Nursing Home, which j was recently gutted by fire. The numerous friends of Mrs T. W. Foster, of High Street, will | learn with regret that her health is i at present causing her friends some anxiety. , , , Perry's Biorama arrived here by the 4.30 o'clrck train this afternoon. In the evening they entertained an appreciative audience in Victoria Hall. ' Court Marquis "of Normanby, A.O"F., met last evening, Bro. W. D. Croxon, P.C.R. of Court Kopuaranga, Mauriceville, presiding. Five members were reported on the sick list. The Friendly Societies' Council wrote that the annual fee for ths ensuing year had been fixed at £l, and would not be called up unless required. The treasurer reported that a number of the brethem had visited Court Loyal Enterprise, Masterton, and were hospitably entertained. Receipts for the evening were £lO 5s 7d, and disbursements £5 2s 3d. A commencement will shortly be made with the erection of a social hall on the Presbyterian Church grounds here, the timber being on th« ground in readiness. Mr W. Stevens, a local poultry fancier, has purchased a Black Orpington cockerel from the Waipunga Poultry Farm at Lower Hutt.
