(From Oar Resident Reporter). Thursday. A hockey match between the High School Girls and the -Kotoroas will be played bn Saturday next. Mr L. H. Clapham, the popular manager of the New Zealand Farmers' Dairy Union's creamery at Kohunui was married at Rockville, Nelson, last week, to Misa Amy Riiton. Mr and Mrs Clapham, who jit present are oil a honeymoon taur are expected to arrive in Kohur.ui on Monday next. Mrs McPhail, wife of Mr John McPhail, ot Ngaturi, died last evening. The deceased, who had reached the age of 53, had resided for many, years in Ngaturi. The funeral of Mr Thomaa Hurley, which took place yesterday, was largely attended by Konini, Hamua, Mangamaire and Pahia'ua residents. The Woodville footballers will hold a benefit social on Wednesday, 25th inst, in aid of Mr Hatchings, who has been laid aside with illness for some time. The cheese factory at Woodville, which'is situated on the road to the Gorge, has been completed and presents a very neat appearance. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., held a veiy successful sale of Mr Waterman's dairy stock at Kohunui to-day. Cows realised from £5 to £lO 2s 6d. A football match between A and B teams will be played on the Recreation Ground, on Saturday next. The selectors will bepresent, and the tearri will be picked to represent the Bush Union against the Poverty Bay representatives on Thursday next. The Woodlands Hunt Club will meet on Tuesday next, when the bal-ance-sheet from the Steeplechase Meeting will be submitted.
