MASTERTON RACING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. i The annual general meeting of members of the Masterton Racing Club was held last evening, Mr C. R Vallance (President) in thechaiu About fifty members attended. Mr W. Plart moved the adoption of the annaul report and balance sheet. Mr D. McLachlan, in seconding the motion, said he regretted that the financial report was not sa favourable as for previous years, but it was, he thought, due to no fau't of the officials, and he hoped the coming year would see. an improvement. There was no further comment on the motion, which was carried unanimously. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr A. W. Cave; President, Mr C. F. Vallance; VicePresident, Messrs J. Macara, C. A. Pownall, A. G. Pilmer, D. McLach-! Lan; Timekeeper, Mr W. D. Watson; Treasurer, Mr C F. Vallance; Clerk of Course, Mr H. W. Smith*. Stewards, Messrs R. Buick, O. C. Cooper, J as. Cress, F. E. Dorset, W. Piatt, W. D. Watson, W. Cooper, David Donald, J. Toms, A. Reside, A. J. Welch, D. Caselberar; Auditors, \ Messrs G. G.Cork and G. W. Sellar. Resolutions of the outgoing Stewards, as follows, were then submitted:— "That one ticket only be issued to each steward and official of the Club, also to secretaries of other clubs, outside owners and trainers, members of the police on duty at the meeting, and stewards of the racing clubs in the Wellington Metropolitan District on production of their annual ticket"; also "That liquor be supplied by the Club at any meeting, only to the stewards or to their friends on their personal introduction, the sum expended not to exceed £lO at 'any one meetng." The recommendations were unanimously adopted. The meeting then concluded.
