BRITAIN AND GERMANY.

The Presbytery unanimously passed an overture to the General Assembly asking it to place on record its deep regret that Christian nations find it necessary to depend so much on armament, deploring the breach .of friendly feeling between Britain and Germany, "and to promote the healiKg of the same send most cordial fraternal greetings to the Christian churches in Germany, that they may unite with the Church here in afprayer that the two nations may be brought nearer each other in a tiue, lasting friendship for the maintenance of international peace, rsduction of oppressive armament, and the promotion of righteousness among nations."
