(Prom Our Resident Reporter). Wedneaday. The Magistrate's Court held a sitting here yesterday before Mr C. C. Graham, S.M., James Dalton was fined £l, or in default seven | days imprisonment for procuring j liquor while a prohibition order i was in tome against him, and on a second charge of being drunk and disorderly was fined £3 and costs 7. In the defended case of A. Harbroe v. A. Udy, claim £4 5a for drink supplied and meals, plaintiff was nonsuited on the ground that the claim was too vapue. An adjournment until next CoUrt day was made in the case of the Wairarapa Brick and Tile Company v. Levien, Shallcross and Co., a claim for goods supplied to A. W. Prior to leaving Petone, Mr M'Auley received a presentation from the Inglesida Committee. Mr and Mrs G. W. Deller, writing from Scotland, state that they are enjoying a pleasant trip. Ac one this afternoon there was a cold breeze, with rain falling, and the town was silent as to the weather conditions. Last evening the pupils of Mr W. J. Bannin's dancing assembly celebrated the wind-up with a pinafore social. There was a large attendance from all over the district, and the floor being in good order made dancing a pleasure. The hall was nicely decorated. Music was supplied by Miss Berril (piano) and Mr R. Crawley (cornet), while extras were played by Mesdames Bannin, Beard, and Misses Wilde and Brown.
