QUEENSLAND'S JUBILEE.

$ Received August 10, 1.10 a.m. BRISBANE, August 8. The festivities in connection with the celebration of the jubilee of responsible Government commenced to-day. The chief event was the unofficial opening of the National Agricultural and Industrial Show. The official ceremony will be performed by the Governor-General on Wednesday. Both as regards the number of entries and excellence of the exhibits the show is a record. Visitors are flocking to the city fdr the fortnight over which the festivities will extend.
