THE INDIAN BUDGET.
AN UNEXPECTED DEFICIT. Received August 9, &25 a.m. ' LONDON, August 8. The Indian budget shows a deficit, of three and three-quarter millions instead of the expected surplus or half a million. The deficiency is chiefly due to lower receipts on the railways, caused by heavier working expenses
