VALUABLE JEWELLERY STOLEN.
Received August 8, 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, August 8. Mrs WeJlshire, of Auckland, a passenger by the Mokoia, has reported the loss of jewellery valued at over £I,OOO. The jewellery was packed in a strong trunk, and was not required on the voyage, not being opened until after its removal to her Sydney hotel. It is not known whether the robbery was committed at Auckland or during the voyage.
