Murray), Under Secretary for India, has warned Indian agitators of the Government's deliberate intention to maintain order, and to remove them, if necessary, from the sphere of activity PROPAGANDA IN NATIVE STATRS. THIRTY-TWO AGITATORS SENTENCED I , Recieved August 9, 8.45 a.m. CALCUTTA, August 8. Anglo-Indian newspapers strongly commend the Master o± Elibank's de- ', clarations and firmness. Extremists endeavoured to introduce a seditious propaganda into the Native States. The Mahrvajah of Gwalior is determined to crush the movement at the outset. Thirty-five agitators were arrested in Gwalior, and tried. Four were sentenced to seven years, and 28 to shorter terms of imprisonment.
