THE "SCARESHIP."
A STRANGE STORY. By Telegraph—Press Association. WAIPAWA, August 5. A resident gives a circumstantial I but uncorroborated account of seeing an airship flying over Kaikora last week. He says it was of a grey colour, and torpedo shaped, and contained three men, one of whom shouted to him in a foreign tongue. He watched the machine for some time. It appeared to be under perfect con trol, and carried bright lights. DARGAVILLE, August 5. Tom Hazelhurst, manager of BaiJey's Run, Kaihu, Northern Wairoa, informed a "North Auckland Times" reporter this afternoon that he had seen an airship pass along the Kaihu coast about five miles from land. He watched it for fifteen minutes. On going down to the beach he miesed sight of it, apparently through the height of the cliffs.
