MASTERTON GOLF CLUB.

A match with the Alfredton team was played on the local links on Friday last, the result being a draw The followine: are the scores, Alfredton playars being mentrioned first in each instance: — C.C.Holmes, 0 holes, v.-C. Owing to the boisterous weather on Saturday only two members of the Kototawai Club put in an appearance, and the match against the local club was consequently postponed. During the afternoon Mr J. Carne Bidwill created a record for the links, doing the round in 79. Entries for the Cliib Championship (senior) close with the hon. secretary, Mr C. C. Cox. on Thursday next, at 5 p.m. Three rounds of 8 holes are to be played, commencing next Saturday, and continuing on 14th and 21st insts. The best medal aggregate of the 54 holes to win. The committee hope to receive a large entry. Entries for the Junior Championship, comprising players who are receiving a handicap of 17 or more, also close at 5 p.m.'on Thursday. The first round, match play as usual, will commence on Saturday next.
