PROPOSED INDUSTRIAL AGREEMENT.
By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, August 2. The Saw'millprs' Union has forwarded a proposed new agreement to the Workers* Union, providing for an all-round reduction in wages, with two exceptions, varying from two shillings to one shilling a day. A general meeting or the Workers' Union will be held to prepare counter proposals. The proposed new agreement omits the strike and preference clauses.
