TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
CAST ON AN ATOLL. SYDNEY, July SI. Advices from Noumea state that: M. Rochegude, a resident there had a terrible experience, while fishing' near the Isle of Pines.
Rochegude's boat was wrecked in a*. storm, and he was cast on a small atoll. He maintained life for a fort-f night by means of shell-fish and birds' eggs, and caught a little raia> m an old cask lying on the beach. When he was wrecked Rochegude was a robustjman; but his hair had! turned whi e by the time he was found.
