The total amounts to £5,723, and includes wins and place monies. The number of races won by twenty-one winning horsesw as fifty-one, End of these no less than thirteen went to the credit of Tumut. The next on the list, Blue Ribbon, won the Wellington Cup, £750; Hack Welter, Manawatu, £7O; the Manawatu and Wanganui Cups, £175; the balance being made up with place monies. The twentyeight horses that won races and placed amounts were responsible for fifty-one wins, thirty-seven seconds, and forty thirds. The successful trainers of the winners above mentioned' were M. M. MGcnath, W. Garrett, J. Cress, K. Knox, G. Hastings, J. Chis?holm, J. Phillips, and H. McPhee.
