STOCK MARKET.

The New Zealand Loan and Mcr cantile Agency Co , Ltd., report on their fortnightly stock sale at Eketahuna as follows:—The yarding* in sheep was light, a fact mainly due to the rough weather prevailing of late in the Bush district. Entries includid ewes, wethers an 1 hoggets, a'l of which wers in good demand, making sound rates undar the hammer. In cattle tha entries were chiefly dairy stock,Jgood sorts selling freely. Very backward cows and heifers being neglected. Ewes in lamb to lis 3d; poor sorts, 9s; hoggets, best 10s 9d, others 7d 6d to 8s 3d; store wethers, 10s 6J to lis; cows, £4 to £5; stores, 355; heifers, i £4.

Messrs Dalgety and Cj., Ltd . report as follows on their fortnightly sale at Eketahuna, yesterdaysOwing to the very rough weathdr the entries were not big, but what were yarded sold well, all sheep selling well under the hummer at slightly advanced pricap. All classes of cattle sold well at prices in favour of vendors. We quote:---Sheep: F m. ewes in lamb, 9s 2d; a first-class line of five-year-old ewes made the satisfactory prica of 16s 2d. Cattle: Springing heifers, from £3 10s to £5. j A line of 70 mixed aged steers from £3 143 to £3 18s.
