Received July 22, 11.5 a.m. LONDON, July 21„ The return cricket match between the Australian team and Yorkshire was resumed at Sheffield to-day. The wicket was fair. Wilson and Rhodes continued the County's second innings. Macartney kept an accurate length, but Cotter tried the off theory, the crowd ironically cheering. The batsmen showed little enterprise, taking 75 minutes for half a century. When he had made 33 Rhodes made an awkward attempt to off drive Cotter, but Hopkins at square-leg missed the catch. A dozen runs later he remedied the mistake, capturing Rhodes' wicket. One for 70. Denton followed. The second wicket went just before luni cheon for 92. Cotter's first over on resuming was fatal to Wilson, who was at the wickets for 40 minutes. Three lor 92. The next two wickets fell for 97. Hiret and Rothery were partnered. The former played lively, knocking 13 off one over of Macartney's. The centuryjwas hoisted in 155 minutes. At 127 Rothery retired leg-before to Cotter, and four runs later Broadbent waa taken at second slip. Seven for 13.
