The Hawke's Bay Rugby Union, on Tuesday night, disqualified for five years a player for using obscene language and striking the referee during a match. The following is the Red Star junior team to play Lower Valley at Carterton on Saturday : Fuli back, Hardham; threequarters, Wing, Ibbetson, Scobie; five-eighth, Ross; half, Igguldtn; forwards, Francis, Williams, Stalker, Stewart, mcL(ren, Billington, MnHattie, Clark., Welch., The drag will leave at 1.30 o'clock. The following will represent the Masterton 111. aeainst Star 111. on the Showgrounds on Saturday next: —G. Yates, L. Johns, Simonson (2), E. Fisher, J. Hanley, Dixon, Baker, H. Billington, Rayner, McHattie, Eddy, Pauling, Fly. At the football match at Carterton last Saturday, Lower Valley v. Carterton, Kowlett, a member of the former team, received a severe strain in storming a rush towards the end of the game. He has been laid up ever since, and is now making satisfactory progress towards recovery. The Red Star 111. team to play Masterton 111., on Saturday,- is as follows: —Wickens, Tankersley, Colder, Osman, Welch, Barr, Mason, Gallic, Treen, Smith, Clarke, Mc Kenzie, Ah Lop, Harris, McHattie.
