During a long-di3tance bicycle race in the old .Botanic Garden a Berlin, two motor cycles, which were acting as pacers, collided and exploded. The machines, which were enveloped in flames, were hurled into the midst of a densely crowded stand, setting fire to women's dresses. At least four persons were killed, and thirty-two others were injured.
