The Socialists induced the French ChamberVf Deputies by 441 votes to 77 to make it obligatory, on members to sien a time sheet daily; members failing to sign on six consecutive sittings to have their salaries stopped. M. M. Pelletan and Brisson protested against the proposal. The newspapers ridicule the motion consider it reduces the Chamber to an assembly of schoolboys.
