At a meeting representing all the Palmerston Corps, it was decided t>ni?ht to joiri tlis MunawaJu Mounted Rifles sin carrying out the highly-successful military tournament that has grown to such large dimensions since it was started by the mounted corps. It was decided to call it the Royal N.Z. Military and Naval Tournament, and hold it on November Bth and 9th. The Commonwealth v Defence Department is to be asked to send a contingent over, and also sand a judge. It is expected that a large representation of the Permanent Force will take part, and the assurances of entries from corps all over New Zealand have been received.

Last year's tournamehc wan . the largest yet held in New Zealand, but will be completely eclipsed this year. •
