Bates' general weather forecastAn easterly gale with heavy rain is probable north of East Cape and Kawhia, and northerly strong to gale thence to Hokitika and Ljrttelton, and westerly elsewhere: rain and cloudy weather probable generally; barometer failing: everywhere, but very unsteady in the southern districts.
