STATEMENT BY THE SUVA'S. CAPTAIN. ADELAIDE, July 71.. The captain of the steamer Suva, questioned in regard to the wreck of the Errol, states that he passed the Middleton Reef ten miles off. He saw two wrecks, but as the place was new to him, and his officer assured him that there were always two wrecks there, he steamed away. Te captain adds that he scanned the vessels through his glasses, but saw no sign of life. He denies that his attention was called to the wreck by a passenger.
