THE NATIONALISTS' INTENTIONS.
FUTURE TO BE LEFT TO THE NATIONS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph "opv right. TEHERAN, July 16. The Russian and British Legations have informed the Nationalist leaders that the Shah has taken sanctuary at the Russian Embassy. This announcement is expected to terminata the fighting. The Nationalist leaders declare their intention to leave the future to the nation to decide. LOSSES IN THE FIGHTING.

The "Times" states that the losses nn both sides during the recent fighting in and about Teheran were less than a hundred. THE sIHAH DEPOSED. CROWN PRINCE PROCLAIMED SUCCESSOR. Received July 18, 5 p.m. TEHERAN, July 17 The National Assembly, composed of the chief majtehids, notables and military chiefs, deposed the Shah, and proclaimed the Crown Prince, Ahmed Mirza, his successor, in the presence of ah immense crowd. Ulmuak, head of the Kajaa tribe, has been appointed Regent, and Sipahdar has been given the dual position of Minister of War, and Governor of Teheran.
Reuter's correspondent says that the Cossacks under Colonel Liakhoff. have been allowed to retain their arms in order that they may serve under the new Government. Colonel Liakhoff (an ex-officer of the Russian Army, who has commanded a brigade of Cossacks in Teheran for some time past) escorted by Bakhtira Mounted Riflemen, drove to the National Council amid the loud cheers of the populace. Several newspapers commend Russia for adhering to the understanding with. England of . remaining neutral in the recent, struggle. Colonel Liakhoff acted under terms of arrangement by the two Legations. Though the telegraph office was repeatedly struck by shells and bullets, the staff remained their posts. Many shops were looted. The Shah occupies a Russian bungalow under Russian and British guard.
