POLLARD'S JUVENILE OPERA COMPANY.
Judging by the number of seats already booked the forthcoming season of this combination, which will be imiusurated on Wednesday night bids fair to exceed any of the visits paid here by this management. Every seen*, dress, property and effect as used in the Wellington Opera House, will be seen here on Wedesday night in the production of Planquette's melodious comic opera, "Rip Van Winkle." It is claimed by the management that for weirdness of effects and magnificence of mounting and dressing, nothing better has ever ' been seeu upon a Dominion stage than the scene depicting the Katskill Mountains, where the unfortunate "Rip" sleeps out his punishment of twenty years. "Manola." which will be staged on Thursday is a different class of work. It is French opera bouffe, sparkling with bright and tuneful waltz numbers, charming duet? and solos, and so brimful of comedy that one critic described it aa "one unending laugh.'
